This quarter
The Gift of Prophecy
We were made to be spoken to. Even when sin broke our face-to-face communion with God in Eden, He came looking for us—“Where are you?” (Gen. 3:9)—and has kept speaking ever since: “at various times and in various ways … by the prophets,” and in these last days “by His Son” (Heb. 1:1, 2).
This quarter we study the gift of prophecy—how God calls His messengers, how revelation and inspiration work, how to interpret and test the prophetic word, and why that gift still guides His church today. From infancy we have been wired to listen; how important, then, that we hear what God's prophets tell us.
